From small beginnings in 1975, the Midland Festival Chorus has developed into a choral force to be reckoned with. The Chorus has a policy of performing both new or unusual repertoire and the "old favourites", but always with an emphasis on artistic merit and exciting performances.
In the last few years we have performed works such as Haydn's The Creation (in German, with a period orchestra), Stephen Montague's When Dreams Collide (a world premiere of a new version of this work prepared by the composer for us), Frank Martin's In Terra Pax and Mozart's Requiem. |
